Dont know if my SIM or RIM will work or not. Still have to fix the charging system.
The BlackBerry 7520 delivers access to email, corporate data and voice services while roaming in many countries and destinations around the world. The handheld also features Bluetooth support for wireless headsets and car kits, 32MB flash memory, a brighter LED backlight, as well as an updated QWERTY keyboard style with highlighted number keys for easy dialing and typing. people vs Muslim people : Who are smarter?Demographics:
o World Jewish Population. 14 million
o Distribution: 7 m in America
5 m in Asia
2 m in Europe
100 thousand in Africa
o World Muslim Population: 1.5 billion
o Distribution: 1 billion in Asia/Mid-East
400 M in Africa
44 M in Europe
6 M in the Americas
o Every fifth human being is a Muslim.
o For every single Hindu there are two Muslims
o For every Buddhist there are two Muslims
o For every Jew there are 107 Muslims
o Yet the 14 million Jews We have lost the capacity to produce knowledge.

o In the entire Muslim World (57 Muslim Countries) there are only 500 universities.
o In USA alone, 5,758 universities
o In India alone, 8,407 universities
o Not one university in the entire Islamic World features in the Top 500 Ranking Universities of the World
o Literacy in the Christian World 90%
o Literacy in the Muslim World 40%
o 15 Christian majority-countries, literacy rate 100%
o Muslim majority - countries , None
o 98% in Christian countries completed primary
o Only 50% in Muslim countries completed primary.
o 40% in Christian countries attended university
o In Muslim countries a dismal 2% attended.
o Muslim majority countries have 230 scientists per one million Muslims
o The USA has 5000 per million
o The Christian world 1000 technicians per million.
o Entire Arab World only 50 technicians per million.
o Muslim World spends on research/developmen t 0.2% of GDP
o Christian World spends 5 % of GDP

Conclusion.
o The Muslim World lacks the capacity to produce knowledge.

Another way of testing the degree of knowledge is the degree of diffusing knowledge.

o Pakistan 23 daily newspapers per 1000 citizens
o Singapore 460 per 1000 citizens.
o In UK book titles per million is 2000
o In Egypt book titles per million is only 17

Conclusion.
o Muslim World is failing to diffuse knowledge

Applying Knowledge is another such test.
o Exports of high tech products from Pakistan is 0.9% of its exports.
o In Saudi Arabia is 0.2%
o Kuwait , Morocco and Algeria 0.3%
o Singapore alone is 68%

Conclusion.
o Muslim World is failing to apply knowledge.

What do you conclude? no need to tell the figures are speaking themselves very loudly we are unable to listen

Shongshoptokhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06636887382392616147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1529428235086592371.post-32073346818277884472008-12-04T01:05:00.001+06:002009-01-07T03:25:40.829+06:00An Scour InviteHey there,
Not too long ago I sent you an invite to join the Scour
search community and your invite is still open!

The Scour search engine is shaped by a community of users just like you,
and your contributions are what make it a success!

Why use Scour?
1. So is phishing.

Many of us have seen the bait float past in recent years. It arrives via e-mail, with an official-looking logo from a bank or credit union or retail company:

"We recently reviewed your account, and suspect it has been accessed by an unauthorized third party. As a result, your account has been frozen. To regain access, please take these steps ...

Our Technical Services Department has installed new security software. To upgrade your account, please do the following ...

There is a pending charge on your account. If you dispute this charge, you must ... "

The e-mail then instructs you to click on a link that will take you to a Web site - again, very official looking - where you're asked to log-in with your password, verify your date of birth and social security number, and so on.

Take the bait and you're well on your way to having your identity stolen, a potentially costly and time-consuming aggravation.

Financial institutions, government agencies, computer experts and the media have been warning people about phishing for several years. There's even a global consortium, the Anti-Phishing Working Group, to combat the problem.

But it persists. A record 20,109 unique phishing "attacks" - each involving e-mail sent to thousands of potential victims - were reported in May to the Anti-Phishing Working Group. That was up from 17,490 attacks in April.

About 80 percent of the May attacks involved attempts to mimic e-mail from 20 major "brand" companies, such as Bank of America, Washington Mutual, Chase Manhattan, PayPal and eBay. (In all, a record 137 brands were "hijacked" in May.)

Paul Stephens, a policy analyst with the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, a consumer-protection agency, said phishers use well-known companies because more people are likely to have relationships with those firms, and therefore are more likely to take the bait.

"If enough e-mails go out, chances are they'll hit you with something that seems like it belongs to you," he said. "They just keep getting more and more clever."

Peter Cassidy, secretary general at the Anti-Phishing Working Group, which is based in Cambridge, Mass., said "what keeps us up at night" is the increasing use of "crimeware" by identity thieves.

"Crimeware" is a tracking program that gets secretly installed on a computer when the victim clicks on a link in a phishing e-mail and is directed to a fraudulent Web site. The tracking program enables thieves to learn passwords and account numbers when the victim later visits legitimate sites.

Cassidy said the best way to prevent being phished is "to use all that stuff people have been yelling at you about for years: anti-virus programs, spyware blockers, firewalls. They really matter now. And make sure they're updated."

Other tips:

- Be wary of e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. Call the company on the telephone to verify that the e-mail is legitimate.

- Be careful using links in e-mail to get to Web pages, especially those involving financial accounts. Use your Web browser to make sure the site is genuine.

- Always make sure you're using a secure Web site when transmitting credit card numbers or account information - look for "https://" in the address bar, not just "http," and look for the padlock icon in the lower right corner.

- Regularly check your bank and credit-card statements to make sure transactions are legitimate.

More information is available from the Anti-Phishing Working Group (antiphishing.org) and the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse (privacyrights.org). On this window, type as directed in steps further and press enter at the end of each step.

type cd\

type cd windows\system32

type attrib -r -h -s amvo.exe

type del amvo.exe

type attrib -r -h -s avmo0.dll ,repeat the steps 5 and 6 again to delete avmo1.dll

now type d: and press enter for d: drive partition.

type attrib -r -h -s autorun.inf

type del autorun.inf

type attrib -r -h -s d.com

type del d.com

Similarly repeat from steps 8 to 11 for all your hard disk partitions to remove the files created by the virus. The above method is manual attempt to eliminate the virus. But some people will have difficulty following that manner. For them an easier method below:

First download Trend Micro HijackThis from here

Install and run the scan ,you will see an entry like this : HKCU\..\Run: [amva] C:\WINDOWS\system32\amvo.exe

Check the above entry and click on the button which says Fix Checked and click yes on the prompt.

Uncheck amvo.exe from msconfig>> startup (type msconfig in run and click on the startup tab) also and restart your system

Open my computer and go to folder options >> check the option show hidden files and folders. Also un-check the option Hide protected operating system files (This will give a warning message, confirm by pressing yes button). After this click Ok.

Now access all your system drives by typing the drive letters in the address bar (for example c:) and delete the files like autorun.inf and other file d.com

Also delete the files amvo.dll and amvo1.dll from windows/system32 folder.

Shongshoptokhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06636887382392616147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1529428235086592371.post-23604690344611477012008-04-08T09:47:00.001+06:002008-04-22T18:07:03.237+06:00Earn money just for reading mails
Earn $10 by just signing up!

Yes! believe it or not. I entered the local program because I was searching for college scholarships, and although I didn't know much about AJM at the time and certainly didn't expect to get this far, I am eternally grateful that my parents encouraged me to pursue the AJM experience. Through the local, state and national programs, I have learned how to truly by my best self. Through the interview process, I have learned how to speak freely, intelligently and confidently. By watching the talents of all the Junior Misses and seeing al of their scholastic achievements, I have come to believe that our future is in very good hands. I was amazed by the diverse backgrounds of the girls in the national program, and I was proud to be able to share my Bengali-American heritage with them. Finally, I have been humbled by the support and enthusiasm of the entire community in Mobile and I hope to spread the passion for AJM to the rest of the United States. Not only will AJM help me in paying for my education at Harvard University, but it will also provide me with many opportunities and will open many doors. I look forward to representing Junior Misses around the country and to representing today's youth. We have decided not to press her."

The writer was in a very "troubled" situation, Mukherjee added.

Nasreen was forced to leave the eastern Indian city of Kolkata last month following violent protests that led to the army's deployment.

India pledged to protect Nasreen and moved her to a safe house in New Delhi last month after the protests against "anti-Islamic" passages in one of her earlier books "Dikhandito" ("Split Into Two").

The Indian press has clamoured to know Nasreen's whereabouts, implying that restrictions on her movements and interactions with the press amounted to de facto house arrest.

Nasreen told India's domestic news agency by telephone on Thursday that she would "not be allowed to return to Kolkata for now."

"I told the officials that I be allowed to lead a normal life at least in New Delhi," PTI quoted Nasreen as saying.

Rights groups and film stars held a rally on her behalf in Kolkata Saturday, calling for the writer to be allowed to return to the city she has treated as her adopted home for the past three years.

India's Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday denied that Nasreen was being held against her will.

"Taslima Nasreen is not under house arrest," Mukherjee said in Kolkata. "She is our guest. The government has made necessary arrangements to secure her safe stay in India."

Mukherjee said Nasreen "can stay in India as long as she likes."

"But she has to abide by certain laws," he said. "She should not do anything that can hurt the sentiment of any community."

Nasreen fled her homeland after being accused of blasphemy for her 1994 novel "Lajja," or "Shame," which depicts violence against minority Hindus in Muslim-majority Bangladesh. She eventually settled in India.

Related News

Taslima not put under house arrest, says Pranab

Taslima not under house arrest: Pranab

Rally demands return of Taslima to Kolkata

Shongshoptokhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06636887382392616147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1529428235086592371.post-36485464478807569452007-12-21T13:22:00.001+06:002007-12-23T08:08:46.768+06:00Western Union Supports Disaster Relief Initiatives in Bangladesh
"No Transfer Fee"1 Pricing Action and $100,000 donation to UNICEF in Aid of Cyclone Survivors
NEW YORK & ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As a humanitarian gesture toward cyclone relief efforts in Bangladesh, Western Union is launching a "No Transfer Fee"1 Pricing Action for any amount sent to Bangladesh from Italy, the United Kingdom, the U.S.A., Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. 2 The initiative will run from Nov. 27, 2007 to Dec. 31, 2007 in the U.S. and from Dec. 1, 2007 to Dec. 31, 2007 in the United Kingdom, Italy, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. It was a beautiful song in Bengali. It said, 'Mother, wherever you are, write to me'. I will never forget her voice,' Shakira said of the moments she spent with Nipa in Patuakhali, devastated by the Nov 15 cyclone.

The Colombian singing star is touring Bangladesh as the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) goodwill ambassador.

'It is hard to imagine celebrities being emotional. Let alone global mega pop stars,' the newspaper said on meeting Shakira in her hotel room back in Dhaka, adding that she was 'visibly shaken from her visit to Sidr-hit areas'.

'It is easy to understand why she was chosen as a Unicef goodwill ambassador,' it added.

But Shakira says she also found hope in the children of Bangladesh.

'Amid all this calamity, sadness and grief, I saw kids playing, singing and smiling in this semi-destroyed school. It was like an oasis of relief,' she said.

'I loved hearing the kids say they dream about becoming doctors and nurses. They all had positive dreams. I want to leave Bangladesh knowing some of these kids will be given the opportunity to accomplish their dreams,' she said.

Still coming to terms with what she had seen in the southern part of the country, Shakira said: 'I was devastated to see that entire villages were wiped away. Everything they had was gone...that touched me. The loss of so many human lives...I will never forget the faces of the mothers who lost their children.

'Bangladesh and its people need attention, international attention from governments, NGOs and regular people as well,' she said.

As part of her wider plans, she visited a Unicef project in Rajshahi where 'hard-to-reach-children' spend days in centres away from the streets.

Shakira has been working with children since she was 18 when she built a foundation called Pies Descalzos, meaning bare feet in Spanish.

The seeds of inspiration had been sown a decade earlier at the age of eight when her father had gone bankrupt and her family lost most of what they had.

Her father used to take her to a park in the more run-down part of the town, where she found kids sniffing glue and was shattered by the sight of their hardship.

'From that point I decided I will do something to help them one day,' Shakira said.

'I always felt very committed to review the issues that children face, maybe because I grew up in a country like Colombia where children face the same problems like children in Bangladesh and elsewhere.

'Children are the most vulnerable population in the world and at the same time they are our only hope for a safer world. We are all concerned about a better future and a more secure place for our children, our children's children and for us,' she added.

Asked how she deals with the fact that in a few months she would be singing in a glitzy concert when the children here would still be struggling with their daily lives, she told the newspaper: 'I guess it's using that spotlight that shines on me during that concert and moving it away from me to put on the issues that need that attention. This is what I can do in my own small way.'

read more ..>> িনপার গান ੂেন অিভভકত শািকরা

Shongshoptokhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06636887382392616147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1529428235086592371.post-52445623372806730392007-12-19T10:37:00.001+06:002007-12-21T11:38:06.457+06:00Oh our Artefacts! : Final clearance by Supreme court
The Supreme Court yesterday stayed Thursday's High Court order of status quo and thereby cleared all the way for the government to send the rest of Bangladeshi artefacts to Paris exhibition.

Vacation-chamber Judge M Joynul Abedin, following an application moved by the government, passed the order lifting the legal roadblocks to display of the Bangladeshi archaeological masterpieces at the first major international exhibition at Guimet Museum in the French capital.

The artefacts from five Bangladesh museums were scheduled to be on display at the exhibition under an agreement signed between the French ambassador in Bangladesh and the secretary of the cultural affairs ministry.

Some 188 items were selected from Dhaka National Museum and the museums of Paharpur, Mahasthangarh, Mainamati and Barendra for the show.

Read more : Prothom-alo

Shongshoptokhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06636887382392616147noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1529428235086592371.post-1461741797399305842007-12-16T20:18:00.001+06:002007-12-16T22:40:40.856+06:00Razakar or Martyr? The hurricane 'Sidr' did a huge damage to our nation. We had no control over it. Before this we had been under two massive floods in Bangladesh. But there were other great disasters caused by human beings. We lost our link to Submarine Cable Landing station several times before this hurricane and even afterward it was cut again. Statistics show that, since from beginning of this highspeed communication channel, it had been cut several times by the criminals in most of the incidents of dislinkage. This cable is of almost no re-sale value at all. Now, everyone is wondering whats the actual cause behind this.

Lets put thoughts and we will be able to identify the reason behind this henious act:

1. Neighboring India: As we are competetitor to India in some goods, products subotaging our means of communication can cuause us not only billions but also lose contracts and thus making their ways.

2. VoIP illegal business holders. As this govt has almost stopped all the illegally running VoIP businesses, they taking chance of running their own VSAT while the main line is down. Thus, making point that we cant run without VSAT and cant depend on Optical Fiber alone.

3. Islamic activists: Activists like JMB(Jamayatul Mujaheedin Bangladesh), has only concern of making damages to the nation. And those fundamentalist terrorists hate technology, science, knowledge etc.

4. Corrupted Politicians + Businessmen: Those who wants to cause damages as they are doing with price rises and ruining efforts of this government.

Well, whatever the cause might be, we shouldn't let our most important means of communication be so vulnarable and prone to failure. We should create alternative backup links for any sort of such disasters. We should hunt down those suboteurs, and punish them with their appointers in rapid succession. We shouldnt let them be successfull all those times. Destroying such state-property should be punishable by long term jail etc.

Shongshoptokhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06636887382392616147noreply@blogger.com0
